The Custom Process
How custom orders work.
Custom can sound complicated. It really isn't. Most pieces start with a WhatsApp message and a few back-and-forth conversations. Here's exactly what happens.
Tell me what you have in mind
Send me a message on WhatsApp. Share references, fabric ideas, the occasion you're dressing for, anything that helps me picture what you want. The more specific the better, but if you only have a vague idea that's fine too. We'll figure it out together.
We talk it through
Once I understand the brief, I'll come back with fabric options, timelines, and pricing. No surprises later. If something isn't going to work in your timeline or budget, I'll tell you upfront and we'll find another way.
50% advance to begin
Once we've agreed on everything, you pay 50% to start. We use this to source fabric, take patterns, and begin the work.
Fittings
Most pieces need 2 to 3 fittings to get exactly right. If you're in Bengaluru, we'll do these at the studio. If you're outside the city, we work with measurements and photos, and ship for trial before final stitching.
Final approval and delivery
Before anything ships, we send photos for your approval. Final 50% is paid on completion. Then it's on its way to you.
We're here after the order too
Care questions, alterations later, anything else, message me. We don't disappear once the piece is delivered.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
Timelines. Wedding outfits and bridal pieces typically take 6 to 10 weeks. Plan accordingly, especially during peak wedding season.
Refunds. Custom pieces are non-refundable once production has started, so let's make sure everything is right before we begin.
Fabric. Bring fabric you already love, or let us source it from Commercial Street and beyond. Either works.
